[Solved] Common Peacock TV Problems and Their Solutions

The Peacock TV app is not perfect. Many users have problems with the most common things including login authentication error, playback, and advertisements. 

I have compiled a list of the most common Peacock TV issues and recommended solutions to them. 

In case the solution is not applicable to your problem, you might have to contact Peacock support.

I cannot sign in to my Peacock account.[Solved]

In case you are having a hard time login into your Peacock Account, Try logging in from a different device or a different browser. 
If login is successful this way then try updating your previous browser and logging in again.
The issue may have occurred due to the older browser not being supported.

Fixing buffering and Slow loading on Peacock.

Keep this in mind. When you are streaming your favorite video or movie in the Peacock app, the data is not sent in one single continuous stream but rather in small packets. When there’s a delay in transmission of these packets, buffering can happen.

The solution to buffering or slow leading issue on Peacock TV.
Restart your router and try streaming again. This will work most of the time. 
If restarting doesn’t work, disconnect those devices which are not in use. If you are not using your laptop or other devices then this can fix buffering as well.

I am seeing an error that I’ve reached the simultaneous streams limit on Peacock.

Peacock TV allows a maximum of three simultaneous streams from one account. If you have Peacock TV streaming on three devices and would like to watch on other devices, you must disconnect Peacock from one of the devices. Also, wait for around 5-10 minutes before you start watching from another device.

I am a Peacock Premium Plus customer, but I am still seeing ads.

Few videos including movies, TV shows, originals, Peacock channels, and events will contain ads due to streaming rights. So, don’t worry, this will only happen once in a while. You won’t be seeing ads on normal Peacock content.

How to unlink my Peacock account from a Cox account?

There are two different ways to unlink your Peacock account from Cox. Here’s how.

First Method:

  • Go to peacocktv.com/account.
  • Under the Plans and Payments screen, select Unlink Provider.

Second Method:

  • Launch the Peacock application.
  • Go to Account.
  • Select ‘Wrong Email?’ in the bottom-left.
  • Follow the on-screen instructions to unlink your Peacock account from your Cox account.

I cannot find a movie that I watched in the past.

Maybe the movie you watched was only available for a limited amount of time. Peacock usually notifies the users when some content is about to be removed. So, keep your eye out for that next time.

TV shows and movies start out blurry when I start streaming.

This will usually happen when your internet is very slow. So, maybe some other device or application is consuming the majority of the bandwidth. Check if someone on your network is downloading or playing games. If not, contact your ISP and tell them about the issues.

I am getting a blank screen when I launch the peacock app.

The first thing you should try is restarting your Peacock app. As this is a common problem in android OS, restarting could fix the issue.
If this doesn’t work, try switching off your device, starting it again, and then trying to stream. 
Finally, if all else fails, you can always uninstall the application and reinstall it again.

I cannot install the Peacock TV app on my device.

If the download stops halfway, maybe your internet connection dropped. Check your connection and try again.
If your download doesn’t start at all, maybe there is no storage on your device. Check your storage, clear some space and then install the application.

I cannot see Peacock TV notifications on my device.

You must have disabled notifications on your device. Here’s an easy fix to enable notification on Peacock TV:

  • Go to Settings on your device.
  • Under, Apps, select Peacock TV.
  • Click on Notifications.
  • Select Enable.
